About Microplastics for Breakfast

Microplastics for Breakfast is an initiative created to connect researchers, companies, public institutions, policy makers and other stakeholders working on micro- and nanoplastics.

It started in Slovenia with the aim of strengthening cooperation between researchers and has grown into a regional platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration and dialogue between science, policy and practice.

The initiative is led by Andreja Palatinus, an environmental scientist and microplastics specialist with more than 15 years of experience in marine litter and microplastics research, monitoring and stakeholder engagement.

Microplastics for Breakfast creates space where people working on micro- and nanoplastics can meet, exchange knowledge, present their work, identify shared challenges and build cooperation beyond individual projects or institutions.
